Tom Griffin Studios

Tom Griffin is owner of Tom Griffin Studio in Winter Park, Florida. For 21 of the past 23 years, Tom and his wife, Nancy, operated their studio on Orange Avenue in Winter Park. They are now working out of their home, also in Winter Park, where they have a taylor-made set-up for photography. The new facilities are much better than they had in the downtown location. In the years spent at the downtown location, Tom devoted most of his time photographing weddings, and doing portrait and commercial photography. He has now given up all but the portrait photography. The majority of his portrait work now is with children. Tom has also been able to return to Oil Portrait Paintings. His degree is in Art; so he has gone full circle, and is very happy with this renewed opportunity. Tom is able to do the oil portraits either from a live sitting or from photos which he uses as a guide for the paintings. He holds the Masters Degree from the Professional Photographers of America; and the FDPE and FSA degrees from Florida Professional Photographers. His prints have hung at EPCOT and at various other places around the country. He is a Life Member of both the Professional Photographers Society of Central Florida and the Florida Professional Photographers. Tom is also a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists.
